Dan Tancik served at Group Publishing for 25 years before joining David C Cook through its acquisition of Group in 2024.
Dan transitioned from chief operating officer at Group to executive leadership team member at David C Cook, and in early 2025 was named chief curriculum officer, overseeing curriculum and Vacation Bible School for David C Cook and Group.
Dan was a core contributor in establishing and maintaining Group’s position as the industry leader in Vacation Bible School and has a passion and gifting for building and developing high-functioning teams.
Prior to Group and David C Cook, Dan was the vice president of sales and marketing at Ultimate Support Systems, where he worked from 1987-1999. USS was a Christ-centered musical instrument business.
Dan’s involvement at his church has included teaching Sunday school, leading small groups, and serving as the chair of the preschool board.
Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Regis University and the University of Colorado, Boulder. He and his wife have been married for 40 years, have raised two children, and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
