Matt Baumgardner joined David C Cook as Chief Financial Officer in 2024 after more than a decade at Starz, a subsidiary of Lionsgate Entertainment.
With his extensive finance background in the media industry, and a personal passion for pointing people to Jesus, Matt is excited to call David C Cook home and is uniquely positioned to help further the organization’s mission to equip the church with Christ-centered resources for today’s generations.
As Chief Financial Officer, Matt helps set strategic direction for the ministry’s aggressive growth initiatives, while overseeing operations of the accounting, tax and financial reporting functions to ensure regulatory compliance.
Matt graduated cum laude from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He lives in Colorado with his wife, Cara, and their four children.
