Scott Miller joined David C Cook 24 years ago. He began as the Controller  with 12 years of experience at Price Waterhouse, Hewlett-Packard, and Deluxe Corporation. With a BA from University of Delaware, an MBA in Finance from Cornell, and a life-long love of learning, Scott has also invested over 20 years teaching graduate level finance courses at a local University.

Scott, as Chief Operating Officer, has overseen Finance, Accounting, Operations, Information Technology, Legal, Human Resources, and Logistics, over the course of 24 years of leadership at David C Cook.

He has a deep appreciation for local church leadership on a global scale and their role in developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Scott has a heart for worship music and a genuine interest in children and youth education as core elements of a local church ministry, and has served in numerous leadership capacities for almost 20 years at Mountain Springs Church.

Scott and his wife, Cynthia, have served with Ray of Hope Amazon ministries in Brazil for over a decade and as a member of the board at New Hope Uganda Ministries. They have five grown children and six grandchildren and enjoy reading, skiing, hiking, and spending time with their growing family.

A 27-year music industry veteran, Jonathan Brown (better known as JB) serves as President of Integrity Music, David C Cook’s global music division.  JB joined Integrity in 2012 as the Managing Director of our European operation and Integrity’s Vice President of International before moving to his current role in 2017.

Throughout his career, JB has worked with artists and songwriters like Rend Collective, Tim Hughes of Worship Central, Martin Smith, Matt Redman and Stuart Townend. JB held posts at Word Records (UK) before forming Fierce! Distribution and was part of the team that established global platforms for artists such as Delirious?, Graham Kendrick, Moya Brennan and others.

JB is a focused, passionate and highly energized marketing creative, with a heart to curate and amplify worship songs and artistry for every tribe, nation and tongue.  His heart’s desire is to facilitate highways around the world for songs to travel beyond their own language and national boundaries.

Beyond the titles, accolades and achievements, JB is most energized by helping people worldwide know the revelation and presence of God.  In JB, you’ll find someone who is just as likely to bring strategy to an idea as he is to shed tears when a song connects with his heart.

JB and his wife Jenny have been married for nearly 28 years.  They, along with their four children (Benjamin, Ethan, Joy-Lily & Reuben) and dog Rosy, recently relocated from the UK to Nashville, TN.

Chadd Miller rejoined David C Cook in November of 2018, as the Vice-President of Sales and Service, and moved into his current role in early 2020.  Chadd previously served at Cook during the mid-‘90s as a Ministry Resource Consultant.

Throughout his career both on and off the field, (Chadd was a football coach for 24 years) he has a track record of building and leading high-performing teams that deliver superior results.  Serving in a variety of executive roles, across both large and small organizations, in diverse industries has provided him a broad range of experience.  The opportunity to assist Cook in fulfilling its mission to “equip the church for making and teaching disciples” is what enthusiastically brought him back to the ministry.

Raised in a home that was in full-time ministry, Chadd has spent his adult life active in his local church, serving in youth ministry, and leading a home fellowship group along with his wife.

Chadd earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing from Point Loma Nazarene University and his graduate degree in business/market strategy from Regis University.  He has been married for 30 years to his wife, Lisa, and together they have raised four boys.

Lori and her husband, Ottis, have three young-adult sons and reside in Houston,TX.  She currently serves as the Senior Director of Children’s Ministry at Lakewood Church.

 

Lori has a passion to support families and churches in the spiritual development of their kids. This has led her to join forces and develop resources with some amazing churches, educators, and organizations; including Lakewood Church, M3 (Mobilizing Medical Missions), INCM, What’s in the Bible?, Willow Creek Community Church & Association, High Voltage, Kidmo, CMconnect, Jelly Telly, Orbit Media, Creative Trust, and Lemon Lime Kids. Previously, Lori served as the Training and Global Focus Director for INCM, and the Programming Manager for Willow Creek Community Church’s children’s ministry.  As Programming Manager, Lori led the creative teams in curriculum development and held key roles in Willow Creek Association’s Promiseland & Conspire Conferences. Lori has overseen the training of tens of thousands of children’s leaders.

Lori serves on the Ministry Advancement and New Business innovation committees.

Ron is a retired CEO with extensive experience driving growth in small and midsize companies across a wide spectrum of industries.  He especially focused on building strong corporate alliances and developing collaborative environments where employees and management partnered to accomplish a shared vision.

Ron was President of Connor Sport Court International, the world’s leading supplier of indoor and outdoor sports surfaces for basketball, track, volleyball and tennis.  He was also President of American Electronic Components Inc., a tier 1 supplier of electronic sensors to all 3 major US auto companies and numerous international manufacturers.  In addition he was President of The J.M. Ney Company, a vertically integrated manufacturer of custom engineered components for medical, dental, automotive markets.  Prior to these, Ron held various management positions in R&D, Sales & Marketing, Operations and Engineering at several large international companies.  He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and an MBA from Villanova University.

Ron and Lia have been married for 46 years and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren who keep them frequently traveling from Florida to the Midwest.  In addition, he serves on several non-profit and for-profit boards and is active with St Matthew’s House in Naples, FL coaching men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction in work readiness and job transition skills.

Tiffany is a Partner and Office Manager of Administration at Loeb & Loeb LLP in Nashville, Tennessee. Her practice focuses on transactions in the entertainment business & intellectual property protection and enforcement. Ms. Dunn represents publishing companies, record labels, management companies, recording artists, producers, authors, songwriters and oter parties in the music industry. Tiffany also has a depth of knowledge in copyright, trademark and intellectual property law, counseling clients on their consumer branding and marketing efforts. She also practices general and transactional law.

She was named in Variety’s “Music Impact Report (2014 and 2017), “Hollywood’s New Leaders” by Variety (2014), “Best Lawyer” in Entertainment Law, The Best Lawyers in America (2013-2018) and recognized among “Women of Influence” by Best Lawyers (2015-2017), published by Woodward White, Inc., “Southern California Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters (2012-2014), “Women in Music City Award” by the Nashville Business Journal (2014-2016)

Beth and her husband, Todd, live with their family in Cincinnati, Ohio where they serve as Co-Executive Directors of Back2Back Ministries. After graduating from Indiana University, the Guckenbergers moved to Monterrey, Mexico where they lived for 15 years. Between biological, foster, and adopted children, they have raised eleven children.

Beth is the author of nine books including adult and children’s titles. She travels and speaks regularly at conferences, youth gatherings and church services about reckless faith. Her style is based in storytelling and she draws from her vast field experience as a missionary, Bible teacher and parent for illustrations of biblical concepts.

Beth serves on the Executive, Ministry Advancement, and New Business and Innovation committees.

Robert L Head, Ph.D has an impressive background which includes many years of experience in education and banking. He most recently retired as the 17th president of Rockford University (2008-2016). He was previously president of the Urbana University in Ohio and a vice president at Benedictine University in Illinois. He served as vice president for trust services at Toledo Trust Company, in Ohio, and vice president for trust services at Northern Trust Company. Dr. Head and his wife, Sheryl, have three adult children.

Dr. Head is an author, motivational speaker and currently serves as a partner with Hyatt Fennell Executive Search. In addition to David C. Cook, he also serves on the boards of Defiance College and Riverwood Homeowners Association and is Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 79.

Robert joined the Cook Board in June of 2016 and serves as the Ministry Advancement Committee. He is also a member of the Finance & Audit and Executive Committees.

Denny Johnson was the President of Johnson Group of Printing, Co.

Denny is Chairman Emeritus of Kids Around the World, Past Chairman of the Board of Swedish American Health System, and has served as a Board Member of Bank One, Rockford University, and Judson University. He served on the Rockford City Council for 16 years.

He attended Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, IL.

Denny joined the Cook Board in 2007 and after a one year hiatus in 2013, he returned to Trustee service in 2014. Denny serves on the Finance and Audit and Ministry Advancement committees.

Denny and his wife, Evie, have three children and 8 grandchildren, all living in Rockford, IL.

Joseph (Joe) Koch

Mr. Koch is the Managing Director of Oxford Mountain LLC, a privately owned agricultural and investment firm. He is also the retired President and Chief Operating Officer for Fellowes, Inc, Itasca, Illinois, a 4th generation family business which is a global leader in office products. Prior to his tenure at Fellowes, Joe was Senior Vice President for Bank of America N.A. and Bank of America Securities . He is also a member of the Advisory Board for Overseas Council (a United World Missions ministry) and on the Board of Kids Around the World, Rockford, Illinois.  He is also head of the Elder Board (Leadership Team) of Mountain Life Church, Park City, Utah.  Joe holds a BS in economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Miami University and MM in finance and marketing from Northwestern University.

Joe has served as the Chairman of the Board and has been an active supporter for David C Cook for over two decades. He presently serves as the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and also serves on the Executive and Governance Committees. He and wife, Paige, now enjoy life in Park City, Utah. They have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren.

Greg Lucid is the President of Lucid  Artist Management.  For over twenty years Lucid has been guiding the careers of some of the most celebrated artists in the history of Contemporary Christian Music including Jaci Velasquez, CeCe Winans, Sandi Patty, Mark Schultz, Cindy Morgan, William McDowell, Salvador, Master Illusionist Harris III, and celebrated film composer Paul Mills along with many others.

More than a manager, Greg Lucid has simultaneously staged a few marketing coups, too. As a distributor, he has consistently and successfully by-passed traditional channels to create unique paths to the marketplace. Touting direct sales of millions of physical units, Lucid has distributed over eighteen (18) #1 chart-topping projects, including Bluetree, Richie McDonald, Nicole. C. Mullen, Jim Brickman, Mark Schultz and Phillips, Craig & Dean, as well as winning a Dove Award of his own, for executive producing the platinum selling DVD, Mark Schultz –Live: A Night of Stories and Songs. Greg branched out, yet again, filling the shoes of Executive Producer on his first cinematic endeavor; the combination Live action/short film DVD, “Entangled – For Everything There Is A Key.” and has been hired to be music supervisor on several movies including most recently the Luis Palau biopic.

Always looking for new ways to artfully stage the worlds of music and entertainment, Greg invested and became part owner in Cinder Entertainment one of the top faith based booking agencies for artists and entertainers. Lucid has also developed and brokered various products most recently the bestselling Children’s product line, Shepherd on the Search.

Greg Lucid was educated at Full Sail with a Recording Engineering Degree and received his BA in Media Management from Asbury University.

Lucid has served on various Gospel Music Association committees and Hall of Fame board, served seven years and chaired Asbury’s Alumni Board. He is a past chairman of the Donor Development and Technology and Digital Development committees for DCC.

Todd Rankin

Todd is the Managing Member of Provident Investment Company, LLC, an investment firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Todd has consulted with senior executives who operate portfolio companies on a regular basis, advising them on matters related to governance, strategic planning, capitalization, mergers and acquisitions and human resource management. Prior to working in the field of principal investment, Todd worked as an attorney in the areas of securities law, corporate finance and venture capital finance.

More recently, Todd completed his Master of Divinity from Duke University. Todd also presently serves as the CEO of Duke Transformation Lab and is a Special Assistant to the Dean of Duke Divinity School. He is the Treasurer of Christ Mission Anglican Benedictines and a Novice Monk. Todd is also a candidate for ordination as an Anglican priest.

Todd serves on a large number of for-profit and non-profit boards including Duke Divinity School, United World Mission, Neighborhood Seminary and board volunteer in a variety of capacities with Harvard University and Harvard Business School.

In his free time, Todd enjoys endurance cycling and ultra-marathon running. He and Celia have one beautiful adult daughter, Faith.

Mr. Rankin joined the Cook Board in 2014 and is our current Chairman of the Board.

John was previously CEO of a global holding and investment firm in the energy and shipping industries, based in New York.  He also was CEO of the Case Family Office and COO of Revolution LLC, both in Washington, DC.  He started his business career in a senior role at Circuit City Stores and spearheaded the national launch of Divx.

John also served as a special assistant in the White House and as chief of staff to the Attorney General at the US Justice Department.  He was a litigation attorney at Hunton & Williams and a law clerk for a federal district judge. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, JD from the University of Virginia Law School, and BA in economics from the University of Virginia.  He grew up in Richmond, VA, and attended public schools.

John joined the David C. Cook board in June 2017 and is the chair of our Governance Committee and a member of the Finance & Audit, Executive, and New Business Innovation committees.

David Rogers, PhD

David Rogers is from Lee, New Hampshire, and is the founder of Allogy, a software company that develops training and medical applications. At 22, he went to South Sudan and led a small team in reopening Mundri Secondary School near the frontlines of a long-running civil war. Five years later, David returned home to enroll in graduate school and founded the first mobile software team at the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation and Training (IST). While at IST, David participated in many research opportunities, ranging from support for Department of Defense medical applications to the National Science Foundation’s sponsored research of the Haitian Earthquake response.

In 2009 he founded Allogy, the service provider for Deployed Medicine, the Defense Health Agency’s next-generation learning system. In 2018 David was selected to serve as a White House Fellow and placed at the White House Office of American Innovation, where he worked on policy initiatives related to workforce data. David continues to design and develop technology platforms for healthcare and education, and he serves as a technology advisor to non-profit organizations. David is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and earned a doctorate in Texts and Technology from the University of Central Florida.

Mr. John Rote is a past Chair and has served David C Cook since 2006. He currently serves as Chairman of the New Business Innovation Committee and also serves as a member of the Finance & Audit and Executive Committees.

He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and an MBA in Finance from the Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University. John and Cindy have been married for 40 years and have 4 daughters.

John spent 30 years in Global Advertising and General Management at Procter & Gamble and SC Johnson. He has extensive experience running global business and leading global acquisitions.  Mr. Rote served as a member of the SCJ Korean Board of Directors, Director at Overseas Council and Agora Enterprises in Kansas City – both globally focused ministries.  He also worked 2 years as the Chief Development Officer for Overseas Council.

In 2015, John and Cindy moved to Nashville, TN to move closer to their four daughters, all of whom graduated with various degrees from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. John currently works as Executive Director of Midtown Fellowship Church in Nashville and is on the Board of Directors of Corner 2 Corner, a ministry focused on Education, Economic Development and Spiritual Growth in at-risk communities in Nashville. Cindy works in a family-owned business in Nashville.
