Lee Reeves joined David C Cook as general counsel in 2024 after more than two decades of serving growing companies and practicing law with a focus on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance operations.
A strategic counselor, skilled negotiator, and persuasive communicator, Lee has supported organizations with annual revenues ranging from less than $100 million to more than $70 billion. He spent 12 years with Lowe’s Companies, Inc., advancing to the role of deputy general counsel and senior vice president before founding MLR Consulting, where he served as president for nearly five years.
Lee earned a B.B.A. (Finance) from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He has also received an Advanced Management Program certificate from Harvard Business School and is a Certified Compliance Ethics Professional (CCEP).
As general counsel of David C Cook, Lee leads the legal & business affairs team while aligning strategic initiatives with the ministry’s mission and values. He is also an advisor to the board of trustees and executive leadership team, providing counsel and promoting a culture of legal compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
Lee considers David C Cook the highlight of his career as it affords him the opportunity to combine his business and legal acumen for the glory of Christ within a purpose-driven ministry.
Lee and his wife, Tara, have three children, including fraternal twins, and will be relocating from North Carolina to Colorado Springs, where David C Cook is headquartered.
